Server-to-Server Synchronization
Server-to-Server (S2S) Synchronization v2 provides an easy-to-use, cost-efficient solution that allows
businesses, workgroups, and remote offices to protect business data and ensure its availability.

Advanced server synchronization and replication functionality offer the capability to replicate the contents
of directories, shares, or files between source and destination Snap Servers and/or applications servers.
Incremental copying of changed bytes, instead of entire files maximizes use of your network, keeping resources available for increased productivity.
Key features include:
Replication Scheduling: Increases your ability to replicate and protect your data by allowing replication jobs to be scheduled as often as once per minute.
Byte-level Incremental Replication:
Improves performance for even the largest files by only copying the bytes that have changed to the destination server
WAN Replication:
Enhances data recovery by replicating data over the WAN
Data Compression:
Maintains bandwidth for production data and critical applications by reducing the amount of data sent over the network
Data Encryption:
Ensures security for data sent over WAN links
Bandwidth Throttling:
Ensures that the replication job does not consume all of the available network bandwidth during synchronization.
S2S v2 is ideal for:
Nearline Backup.
If a source server fails, users can directly access the replicated data on the destination server. S2S minimizes downtime and lost productivity with better time-to-data than traditional tape backups.
Remote Office Backup and Recovery.
Data from remote offices is replicated from remote application servers to Snap Servers and also remains locally available for instant recovery. Since there’s no tape to manage or distribute, S2S significantly reduces the time and cost of protecting remote office data.
Content Distribution.
One-to-many replication makes it simple to distribute content to remote offices, distribute software, and ghost workstation images.
Content Consolidation.
Many-to-one replication lets you easily consolidate content from multiple sources into a central location for archiving, backup and recovery, and data mining.
